Susan Lightfoot, Lead Education Specialist for the Office of Early Childhood (OECE) in Chicago Public Schools. I have been with the Chicago Public Schools for over 20 years. I began my career with CPS teaching grades Prek-4th grade, After 16 years of teaching in the classroom, I took on the role of an Early Childhood Specialist and then became the Lead Education Specialist. In my role as an Education Specialist, I've promoted reflective practice, delivered professional development, provided onsite instructional support and most importantly, developed positive strong partnerships with teachers. I am passionate about the quality of instruction that our young children receive in the early years and work with experts in the field of early childhood to develop high quality classrooms in Chicago Public Schools.
