Contact Me

I have been teaching in alternative education as a S.T.E.M. teacher for about 5 years at Camelot Excel Academy of Southwest. Within these 5 years I have also simultaneously developed a Robotics curriculum that is based on industry concepts which are supported by the Career Technical Education learning paths.  My overall goal is to provide students of very diverse backgrounds a medium where preparation for the jobs of the future (i.e. coding, iterative-thinking processes, and real-world applications of physics) can be manifested via guided inquiry-based instruction (in-person or distance learning).

EDUCATION

Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science [2012]
Illinois Institute of Technology , Chicago, IL.
Studies focused in application development, design project management, circuit analysis of microelectronics and AC/DC Power Electronics,
technical planning, and business case analyses. All lectures were accompanied by hands on IEEE standardized laboratory experimentation.

IT – CNS, Associates of Applied Science [2006]
ITT Technical Institute , Matteson, IL.
Specialized in Interface Design and Computer Networking elements. Participated in Capstone team projects, to create simulated real-world
IT-related applications. Served as Teaching Assistant for introductory programming class, responsible for assignment grading, class review
sessions, and one-on-one student meetings.

C.E.E.T. , Associates of Applied Science [2003]
ITT Technical Institute , Matteson, IL.
Studies focused on applied methods for designing and analyzing solid state hardware (relay, capacitors and continuity testing). Contributed to
team projects, to produce assembly functional PLC logic codes and schema. Performed various troubleshooting sessions with in a laboratory
environment utilizing PWB’s, function generators, and single pole power supplies.

EXPERIENCE
Government Funded Intern - High Energy Physics Dept. [May 2013 - Aug. 2013]
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (Livermore, Calf.) / European Centre for Nuclear Research (Geneva, Switzerland)
Studied the 'Strangeness' production which is essential to the conceptualization of heavy ion interactions at Lawrence Livermore National Labs (LLNL) and the European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN) as a U.S. Department of Energy - Office of Science intern via C++/Linux driven computer analysis. With the assistance of leading Physicists and various ALICE collaborators around the world, the nature of quark-gluon plasma (QGP) and quantum chromodynamics (QCD) theoretical axioms were examined for the benefit of cultivating STEM related careers. Aided in the integration of ALIROOT programming on Macintosh platform for offline data (ALICE prior collisions) analysis gathered from the ALICE grid-repository of prior events involving particle to anti-particle track samples. Conducted Nuclear/Particle Physics research via attending the summer 2013 member-states (the U.S. is non-member state) student-ship for training on accelerator technology and the theory of the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) at the European Organization of Nuclear Research. Drafted a poster based on strange-particles within the Quark-Gluon Plasma for phenomenological (as related to the Standard Model) reporting to the Department of Energy - Office of Science. Collaborated with the Work Force for Teacher Development sector (LLNL) on methods of teaching from inquiry-based perspective for the benefit of Next Generation Science Standards.

[2011 – 2012]
Intelligent Generation , Chicago, IL.
Create, update, and maintain LabView 2010 code for automation and control of various power electronics via multiple-protocol communication
tests. Coordinate with The Galvin Center for Electricity Innovation and situation contracted SME’s for schematic changes. Maintain internal tools for IG laboratory network and reporting data. Work with third-party providers to ingest and allocate renewable (DC/AC) power con
