Chicago Public Schools Instructional Support Leader
Network 11 Offices
I have been a CPS educator for the past 13 years. I have served in the capacity of the classroom teacher, literacy coach, assistant principal, and more recently an Instructional Support Leader. With the many challenges that we face as educators, it's comforting to know that we don't have to settle for less engaging instruction even if we are working remotely. I have discovered a few interesting ways to create a virtual classroom that will engage students of all grade levels and easily allow students to locate their class assignments. Parents and students will know where to go to find resources, answers to their questions regarding remote learning or traditional instruction, and who to contact for help. Stakeholders can easily engage in synchronous learning linked to your Google Classroom. The best thing about this innovative (virtual) classroom is that it can be shared with students and families and accessed from any device.
