My name is Molly Castner. This year marks my 23rd year teaching 8th grade ELA.  For most of my career, I have been at Marshall Middle School in the North Allegheny School District. In the past few years, I have undergone a renaissance in my teaching as education evolves toward a more student-centered approach. My journey has led me to engage with teachers across the country to work toward greater equity and personalized learning for our young people.  Teachers can’t afford to rest on the foundation of past practice. The world and our students demand that we continue to engage in learning that will support their everchanging needs. We have to stay juicy and bendy if we are to continue growing with our students.  Please let me know how I can support you in your journey.
