Hi, my name is Joy Blake, the creator of the Blake Basics, a Youtube channel and website with technology at the forefront. I am the Instructional Technology Support Specialist for Chicago Public Schools. Prior to this position, I have worked as an educator for over 15 years where I primarily taught upper elementary Math and Science. I am a Google Certified Trainer as well as a Pear Deck Certified Coach, Screencastify Certified Coach and an Apple Teacher. I am a Teach for Social Justice grant recipient who values culturally responsive teaching and equity. I love technology and my goal is to make technology accessible for all. If you come to one of my professional development sessions, you will find a place filled with laughter, focus, creativity, collaboration and community.

A fun fact about me is I have graduated from The Second City Theater Comedy Improv program and have performed numerous times on their stage. I also have a podcast with my husband on our YouTube Channel called "Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody."
