Lindsay Singer serves as a 3rd grade teacher at César Chávez Multicultural Arts Center in the vibrant Back of the Yards Community on the south west side of Chicago. She is a founding member of the Chicago Public Schools “Transformational Teachers” cohort which focuses on equity and agency in the classroom. Lindsay was named one of Chicago Public Schools’ Equity Champions in 2020. Additionally, she mentors resident teachers as a Clinical Instructor for the University of Chicago’s Urban Teacher Education Program. Lindsay is also a member of the Chicago Lesson Study Alliance teacher board which focuses on teaching through problem solving and the lesson study process. Lindsay graduated from University of Michigan with a BA in Public Policy and received her MAT from University of Chicago’s Urban Teacher Education Program (UTEP).
