The Joy Factor is one of the 49 techniques of effective teaching found in the bestselling book, Teach Like a Champion by Doug Lemov. It is the ability to bring joy to the work of learning. The Joy Factor reinforces the lesson objective and draws students into the content through engaging and memorable activities. In this session, we will discover ideas and websites that students find fun and engaging that get them excited about what they will be learning for the day. Participants will also learn ways to hook their students into the lesson remotely. If you are a math teacher and your goal is to have a fun, engaging, and informative remote classroom then this is the session for you.
