Advance student voice and choice by using sound design in your theatre and dance classes and performances, or in other core classes for student's presentations of their work. In this session, participants will learn, step-by-step, how to create a sound design in Garageband on iPad using vocal recording, music, and sound effects. This session will be grounded in the IL Arts Learning Standards and ISTE standards and will begin with an SEL Welcoming/Inclusion Activity. Participants will have access to resources at the end of session including a short video tutorial and a student-facing slide deck covering the technical how-tos that they can modify for their grade band and curriculum.
