As we enter the new school year we are presented with a challenge: how do we build relationships with our students (and build relationships between students) if we are not face-to-face? This session will focus on how you can use technology to implement SEL strategies that build community in your e-learning classroom. Strategies that will be covered include holding virtual check-ins, restorative circles, activities for small group/breakout sessions, online apps & games, and strategies to invite in students who are reluctant to join/participate. These techniques can help build a fun, warm virtual space where students want to log in and are ready to learn!
