Tips and Tricks for the Beginning of the School Year for both the Teacher and the Student

The focus of this session will be to teach teachers what computer literacy skills are important to teach students in the beginning of the school year especially since they will be working in a remote learning environment. The session will focus on the importance of teaching your students the following skills at the beginning of the school year: the parts of an email, how to successfully send an email. how to organize your Gmail inbox, how to organize your Google calendar, the parts of the Google classroom, and how to submit assignments. There will also be tips for teachers on how to make the beginning of the school year easier for themselves. For instance they will learn how to set up Parent Teacher Conferences using Google Calendar and how to assign labels to emails. They also will be provided tips on how to organize their Google Drive to make things easier to find. Lastly they will be shown key extensions and add-ons that may make their teaching practice in the fall a lot easier.
