Math performance was clearly our weak area coming into the year. Our ILT used a four step problem solving process to analyze our needs and hypothesized that our curriculum and instructional practices needed to be more consistent. Analysis of multiple forms of data supported this hypothesis. As a result of work led by the ILT we now have Common Core aligned curriculum maps for K-8, have selected a core program to drive instruction next year, and have implemented a set of common instructional practices and strategies across the school.
