Hi, my name is Alex O'Callaghan and I am currently a Case Manager/Diverse Learner Teacher/MTSS Organizer at Spry Elementary School in Pilsen Little Village.  I have two toddlers and a dog named Athena.  I have been teaching for CPS since 2008 and have worked as a third grade teacher and K-8 diverse learner inclusion and resource teacher for most of my time with CPS.  I enjoy learning about new tools that can support diverse learner students to access instruction in the classroom.  In my experience with CPS I have worked at multiple schools who serve diverse bodies of students in both their ethnicities and socioeconomic status.  When I am not teaching, I practice self-care through strength training, city walks with my dog and/or family, and yoga.
